Recommendables.com has a general feeling on electronics that buying out of the first batch is not necessarily the smartest thing to do. Usually when anything new comes out, there are always bugs to fix and upgrades to do. If you can keep your sanity while waiting, you may end up saving yourself some headaches in the future. The iPhone has one thing going for it that other new “gadgets” don’t, it’s made by Mac. Mac, historically, doesn’t have a lot of problems with new items right out of the box. While this makes it safer, there is still drawback number two. Missing out on the brainstorm of new options. Many times after a product is released professional reviewers or the buying public will express ideas that they wished the product would’ve incorporated. Lo and behold, when the second generation is produced they have incorporated a lot of the suggestions. While Mac has reliability on it’s side (big time), Mac cannot escape this reality. So, if you have the patience and can wait it out you may have a better performing iPhone with more options than your friend who had to have one ‘right now”.
