Visit The Pacific Northwest

We’re quickly coming up upon the time for travel. Spring, summer, and early fall are all great months to take a long weekend or a full fledged vacation. Looking at places to visit this year, don’t forget the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The states of Washington and Oregon are extremely diverse in what they can offer. They are both thought of as green, forested, and rainy. While there is some truth in this, the western sides of these states offer some of the more beautiful forest areas in the United States, the Northwest is more than just one big rain forest. The east side of the Cascade Mountains also offers some great scenery, and in some places it is almost desert like in the amount of yearly rainfall it gets.

Some highlights of Washington and Oregon:

Washington:
Seattle
Mount Rainier
Coast
Columbia River
Lake Chelan
Long Beach
Grand Coulee Dams
North Cascades Pass

Oregon:
Portland
Coast
Columbia River Gorge
Crater Lake
Columbia River Dams
Bend

Summing up these two beautiful States in one short blog post isn’t possible. A trip that would be well worth it, especially if you’re into the outdoors.
